Enterprise Compliance bei Siemens

„Siemens sucht neuen Antikorruptionschef“, heißt es heute im Handelsblatt (29. Juni 2007, Seite 1). Die oder der Neue muss sich dann insbesondere mit der Effektivität und Effizienz der sogenannten „Fraud Controls“auseinandersetzen. Das sind Kontrollen, die Korruption im Unternehmen verhindern und aufdecken sollen. Selbst zehntausende interne Kontrollen helfen nicht immer. Das ist offensichtlich. Im Rahmen einer SEC Roundtable Diskussion zum dem Thema: „Implementation of Internal Control Reporting Provisions“ im April 2005 hatte sich ein Siemens-Verantwortlicher u.a. noch wie folgt geäußert:

„So for our company, we had more than 20,000 controls, nearly 30,000 controls. There will be, at least I would see a need for a Phase 2 approach, one which basically tries to get rid of controls which are not really necessary,and more into the direction of preventing measures. More use of IT controls, controls which are already embedded in the ELP systems, in case manual controls and things like that don’t work. So there is room also from the company side to improve efficiency.“

Man darf schon jetzt gespannt sein wie sich der Siemens-Aufsichtsrat in seinem nächsten Bericht an die Hauptversammlung zu diesem Themenkomplex äußert.
